We Won! I am delighted to announce that ‘Team Corbett’ has won the Lycetts Team Champion Competition 2022.

Short listed with Rebecca Menzies, Fergal O Brian and Charlie Longsdon. The team has won a prize of £4000 which they would like to spend on waterproofs – no idea why!

Well done team and thanks to everyone who has sent messages of congratulation.

The letter from Lycetts reads:

“It was a pleasure to judge your submission and conduct the yard visit. The judges were impressed by the culture of open communication between you and your team. They felt the staff spoke freely, positively and honestly, they spoke about the industry and the yard, demonstrated their loyalty and commitment to the business and are evidently a very close-knit team. What was also clear to the judges was the kinship you and Frank feel with the team and that you’re very much part of it, not outside it.

Judges were particularly impressed with the lengths you go to in offering flexible working schedules to meet staff needs or find work for staff in other yards when you’re at capacity. Girsonfield is clearly an exceptional place to work. We hope you will all be very proud of what you have achieved.”
